General Information
We are pleased to announce the 2024 Short Rotation Woody Crops International Conference, to be held May 13-16, 2024 in Columbia, Missouri, USA.
Hosted by the University of Missouri's Center for Agroforestry, the 2024 Short Rotation Woody Crops International Conference is a joint meeting of the Short Rotation Woody Crops Operations Working Group and the Poplar and Willow Council of Canada that will bring together members from seven leading SRWC and agroforestry organizations.
Historically, international efforts for the development of short rotation woody crops (SRWCs) focused on the production of biomass for bioenergy, biofuels, and bioproducts, while more recent efforts have included SRWCs for environmental applications. The 2024 Short Rotation Woody Crops International Conference will highlight current SRWC and agroforestry research with the goal of enhancing information exchange and providing a platform for developing future collaboration for integrating SRWC into agroforestry systems.
The event is intended for researchers, agroforestry and forestry practitioners, decision makers, and students who are interested in the science and practice of growing and using fast-grown trees for forest products, bioenergy, environmental applications, and agroforestry.
Please note, there are no funding opportunities available to cover travel and lodging costs for conference attendees.
We look forward to seeing you in Columbia!
